All camps run Monday-Friday from 9am – 1pm. Campers must bring their own bag lunch. There are no food/ allergy restrictions during summer camp and we are not a peanut free school.
Children must turn 3 before June 1st and have not turned 7 before June 1st.
Children must be fully potty-trained with no diapers or pull-ups.

In all camps children will experience plenty of outdoor play, stories, art, and music. Prepare to have fun and get dirty! Every Thursday is Water Day!
Recycle, Reuse, Reduce June 11-15
One person’s junk is another’s treasure. Bring your imagination! Create one of a kind artwork and wind chimes as we turn junk into new treasures!
Art Camp June 18-22
Each day we will explore different disciplines from the art world. Paint, collage and jewelry are just a few examples. Children will learn about different artists in the process. Plenty of outdoor play, stories and songs will be included.
Gardening Camp June 25-29
Herpetology Camp July 9-13
Explore the fascinating world of amphibians and reptiles with Davidson College Herpetology Professor Steve Price. Discover and learn about amphibian and reptile ecology and conservation up-close with a variety of animals. Bring your curiosity, questions, and inquisitive mind to a week of wonder.
Kid’s Café July 16-20
Run the Kid’s Café! Young chefs will plan a menu, make grocery lists, wash produce, set a table, take orders, harvest fresh produce from our raised bed garden and cook and eat their own snacks.
Outdoor Adventure July 23-27
Build a stream, make mud pies, ride the zip line, climb our multilevel tree house, ride tricycles on our path, drum in the music garden, plant in the vegetable garden, paint outdoor murals. Spend a week breathing fresh air and discover all the outdoors has to offer on our fabulous playground!
Storytelling Camp July 30-August 3
Listen to Classic Literature, act out stories, dress up as your favorite character, dictate and write your own stories, make your own book including handmade paper covers. Let your imagination soar!
Cooking Camp August 6-10
This camp will focus on baking.
Back to the Farm August 13-17
Plant fruit and vegetable seeds, make butter and jam, bake bread, and enjoy your own homemade ice cream. Grab your hat and join the fun as we ride in wheelbarrows, pretend to be farm animals, and sing silly songs at the farm.

Registration will be accepted daily on a first come, first serve basis starting February 22, 2012, for current and alumni Schoolhouse families and February 25th to the public. If a camp session is full, then all remaining applicants will be placed on waitlist.
For Schoolhouse families – Registration will begin on February 22nd at 8:30 am. The Schoolhouse Camp Coordinator will be at the Schoolhouse on February 22nd and 29th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am and from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm each day. Schoolhouse families are encouraged to register their child(ren) in person during these days. All registrations received through the mail will be processed based on the day they are received at the Schoolhouse.
For The Public – Registration will begin on February 25th at 9:30 am. The Schoolhouse Camp Coordinator will be at the Schoolhouse on February 25th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for camp registration. A second in person time will be held on February 29th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the Schoolhouse. Parents are encouraged to register their child(ren) in person during these days. Registrations received through the mail will be processed after the onsite registrations and will be based on the day they are received at the Schoolhouse.
You will be notified during onsite registration about the session(s) to which you have been admitted. For registrations received via mail, you will be notified by email within one week of receiving your registration form. If you do not have email, we will notify you by phone. If the camp(s) requested are full, your tuition check will be returned.
Tuition is $125 per child per session for non Schoolhouse families and $110 per child per session for Schoolhouse families. There is no sibling or multiple camp discounts.
Tuition is due in full at the time of registration.
Once a child has been admitted to a camp session, tuition is non-refundable.
